Welcome to Kids
Kung Fu, a place where children can begin their journey
along the martial path of Wing Chun Kids
Kung Fu teaches a healthy body and mind The
martial art of Wing Chun was
created hundreds of years ago by a woman, which makes it a subtle
system. Today we can use scientific coaching methods to analyse our
Kung Fu, using bio-mechanics, which helps us understand this natural
and effective fighting system. The Chinese
term Kung Fu does
not actually mean training in a martial art. Rather, it refers to
excellence gained through training, effort and perseverance - the
strengthening of the body and the mind is also implicit. Saying that a
person has good Kung Fu, indicates that they have been highly motivated
and have worked hard to develop their skill in this area.
Kids Kung Fu provides high
quality Kung Fu instruction Alan Gibson is well known for his teaching of Wing Chun and is endorsed, to the highest levels, both in Hong Kong and the UK. Alan has been teaching Kung Fu and Women's Self Defence for many years and has produced several popular educational books and DVD's on Wing Chun. With Kids
Kung Fu Alan has now produced a child specific
syllabus, in collaboration with Mike Robinson who has been Wing Chun practitioner for several years. Young
and growing bodies need exercise in order for them to strengthen.
Developing minds also need to be challenged and nurtured to grow in a
positive direction. We believe that children will benefit greatly by
training in Wing Chun. Other
rewards from training in the martial art of Wing Chun for children are
improved self confidence, self esteem, and a sense of respect and
discipline. Children can progress through our grading system, earning
certificates and badges to reflect their developing skills. Training these attributes will empower your children to access their natural talent and to get a head start in any other endeavour that they later choose to specialise in.
